Built in 1841, this building contains the Daughters of the Confederacy Museum. It was the commercial center of Charleston for many years and served as a recruiting station during the Civil War. A National Historic Landmark and one of Charleston’s finest examples of Greek Revival architecture, the building houses a reference library, exhibits of Confederate artifacts.

The annual Spoleto Festival at Charleston is one of the world's foremost music and arts events.  This harp was played during the Spoleto chamber music series by the personal harpist of Prince Charles.
